Crafted using a variety of materials, there’s no doubt that composite doors have risen to prominence over the past few years. Composite doors feature a remarkable insulating and secure foam core intelligently enclosed by a Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) skin.
This unique design makes the double glazed door resistant to warping, cracking, fading, and peeling, ensuring both our traditional and contemporary composite doors will look their best for many enjoyable years to come. It also makes them scratchproof and virtually maintenance-free.
All our composite doors feature a precision-engineered locking system. The cylinder lock barrels are anti-bump, anti-pick, anti-drill, and anti-snap, making them almost impenetrable and can deter even the most resolute would-be intruders. All doors in our composite door range are manufactured to Secured by Design standards. Secured by Design is a Police security initiative that was set up to combat the rise in burglary and improve the standard of windows and doors.
How does composite door security compare to other materials?
High-density foam core
In combination with numerous robust materials, our composite doors feature a 70mm high-density polyurethane foam core that keeps your home warm and insulates your home from external noise. Foam is a terrific insulator for two reasons. The first is the fact that foam is filled with gas bubbles. Gases are not as effective at conducting heat as either a liquid or a solid and trapping the gas in small bubbles stops the gas from transferring heat. The second reason is due to the polymer molecules making up the partitions of the bubbles which are connected loosely. This restricts the rate at which heat can be transferred from one molecule to another.
Reduce your carbon footprint
In addition to the thermally efficient foam core, our composite doors also use energy-efficient triple or double glazing low e-glass and are A-rated! These technologically advanced entrance door structures not only reduce your carbon footprint but can considerably save you money on your energy bills.

As robust as the door design is, the colour finish is too and is designed to look good for years to come. With the sophisticated appearance of solid timber, you have the choice of a variety of colours. You can even pick different interior and exterior colours to match the inside and outside of the property.
As well as a wide range of colour choices and finishes to choose from, the glazing type and additional hardware (door handles, letterboxes, etc) are also fully customisable; allowing your own individual style to shine through every little bit of your home.
